According to an explosive report by the Russian investigative news site, The Insider, Artemyev's removal stems from alleged violations of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). The Insider claims that Artemyev "allegedly photographed SpaceX documentation and then 'used his phone' to export classified information," citing information obtained by launch analyst Gregory Trishkin.
