i guess most of us have asked for this salad in the restaurant or hotel after we have ordered our meal. basically, this salad with papadum is served to us before our meal to keep up entertained and busy. well, you might have wondered how it is prepared and may have assumed that it may require some unique spices? trust me there is not rocket science and you can prepare it at home as well. the only key factor for this recipe is the type of onions used to get the best result. red onions are the best for these salad’s as they are juicy, sharp in taste and also when mixed with spices makes it very attractive. you may very well use the white or green one but may not get the same as red ones.
furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variations to the laccha salad recipe – 2 ways. firstly, even though the red onions are the most preferred ones to prepare onion laccha salad, yet there may be some very sharp spicy onions. you may use vinegar and salt combination and dip the onions to reduce the spice heat. secondly, for the mix veg variation, you may add any type of vegetables to it to prepare mix veg laccha salad recipe. however, you may need to wisely choose the vegetables as it should not overpower the onion flavour and taste. also, try to make it thin so that it can be easily mixed. lastly, apart from using as sides to the meal, you may use this in sandwich, roll or kebab’s as salad stuffing.
